My students have been engaged in a variety of activities this month. Below are some pictures of things we have done. Kindergarten, TK, and ECSE students have been doing a variety of relay races as a fitness activity. Zinser 2nd graders also did a "
Thanksgiving Dinner Relay" last week. They learned about protein (turkey), vegetables (corn, potatoes, yams, etc), carbohydrates (stuffing) and fruit (cranberry sauce). We also played "
Thanksgiving Tag" which gave everyone an opportunity to tell others what they are thankful for. I personally was thankful for the little girl who said she was thankful for her P.E. teacher!!!! Click here for directions for "
ABC and Number Match Relay".
Zinser 2nd graders also did a lesson on germs and the importance of hand washing. Below you will see pictures of "
Germ Tag". Click on the link if you would like to know how to play "
Germ Tag".
Catching and throwing will be our focus for the next few weeks. One great catching game that 2nd graders played last week is called "
Catch Everything". We talked about having "ready hands" to signal to people that you are ready to catch the ball. Pics of this game are below.
