pretty awesome teaching in the school's newly renovated gymnasium! We have had a great start to the school year! I'm also excited to have a student teacher, Miss Kastens, with us this semester.
One of my goals has always been to use time wisely during P.E. class. The students come to P.E. once a week for 45 minutes, therefore it's important for us to have routines and procedures in place so that no time is wasted on management issues. We follow social contracts, have student leaders each class, and reward positive behavior. My returning students have had a very smooth transition back to school, and my new students have done a great job learning the rules and procedures!

1. Daily Dozen Warm-Up Routine - The students begin class by participating in a choreographed, fun mix of 12 exercises. I have many videos of our routines. Check them out below!
2. Skills Practice - Here is a list of skills we have practiced so far this year:
- Spacial Awareness and moving safely
- Teamwork & Cooperation
- Fitness - Running (Pacer Test), Stretching, Abdominal and Upper Body Strength Tests
- Rolling a ball & Bowling
- Defense
- Catching and Throwing - Partner Drill
- Soccer Skills - dribbling, trapping, shooting, goal keeping
- Volleyball Skills - Underhand Serve, Overhand Serve, Bump
- Basketball Skills
- Striking with a racquet
