Welcome Back to School!

Welcome back to school everyone! This is my 19th year teaching for Kenowa Hills Public Schools, and I must say, this has been the BEST start to the school year that I have experienced! I feel so blessed to work at KHPS. We have the nicest staff, top notch administrators, wonderful students, and a terrific gymnasium complete with an abundance of equipment for our PE program.

I love the fact that I have many of the same students each year. Most of my students begin here in Kindergarten and continue all the way through 5th grade. My rules and procedures are the same each year, so the students know what to expect and everything runs smoothly. My goal is to MAXIMIZE our time together with lots of movement, exercise, sports and games.

Space Jam Warm-Up for the first month of school - Click Here

Fitness activity called the "Train Game" - Click Here. (We always have fun music playing while we do this.) 

Sports Skills - We learn about a different sport skill and/or physical activity each week. 

Awards - I always celebrate positive behavior at the end of class by awarding two students with stars and/or special certificates. (Click here to view my store on Teachers Pay Teachers to view certificates).

So far this year many of the students have learned these things:

1.  Tag Games and "Getting to Know You" games, how to move safely in the gym.

2.  Soccer Activities

3.  Balls - PreK-1st graders learned how to play safely with balls.

4.  Hula Hoops

5.  Scooters

6.  Bowling Activities (Pinball Game)
